Junction City Storm Shelter

The new Junction City Storm Shelter will be a 3,400 gross-square-foot structure of concrete masonry units, cast-in-place concrete, and pre-cast concrete planks, providing over 2,500 square feet of usable, safe room floor area. The Storm Shelter can protect five hundred residents of Junction City in a natural disaster and meets FEMA P-361 Safe Rooms for Tornados and Hurricanes. The Storm Shelter will sit adjacent to the new Junction City Municipal Building. The exterior design incorporates the materials of the Municipal Building and from other adjacent commercial buildings.
